Free Father’s Day concert
The Yiddishe Cup Klezmer Band plays a free concert 7 pm Sunday, June 15 (Father’s Day) at the Alma Theater, Cain Park, Cleveland Heights.
Yiddishe Cup was founded in 1988 by clarinetist Bert Stratton of Cleveland Heights. The group has played throughout the United States and Canada. The band plays a mix of Jewish music and soul music.
The Yiddishe Cup musicians are Tamar Gray, vocals; Steven Greenman, violin; Alan Douglass, keyboards; Vernondo Parker, drums; Alice Stratton, dance leader; and Bert Stratton, clarinet and saxophone.
