Kent State University’s sidewalks have for decades hosted the famous black squirrels. Our Wind Faculty got together and launched the faculty ensemble Black Squirrel Winds— back in 2011.
Danna Sundet, Amitai Vardi, and Mark DeMio are the founding members and we are thrilled to welcome our newest musicians, Suyeon Ko (flute) and Ben Hottensmith (horn).
The Black Squirrel Winds are visible on YouTube in educational recordings and they have performed hundreds of concerts throughout the greater Cleveland area.
