All the Natalie Portmans

Struggling to escape her dysfunctional family, 16 year old Keyonna imagines herself living within a fantasy; a fantasy in which she has conversations with Natalie Portman. A melancholic story tailored around the idea of escapism, the play “All the Natalie Portmans” by C.A. Johnson is all about the hardships that come with love, family, and chasing dreams. Audiences will be immersed within Keyonna’s story as she carries hope in the face of adversity, all in the name of achieving Hollywood stardom. Will Keyonna be able to make her dreams come true? Or will her life in poverty prove to be too difficult of a situation for her to overcome? Find out in “All the Natalie Portmans!”

Cast

Diwe Augustin-Glave/Keyonna

Diwe Augustin-Glave is a Cleveland born artist and educator raised in the heights. Previous credits include Sankofa at Playhouse Square, Weathering at Karamu House, PETER/WENDY and What We Look Like at Dobama Theatre, and not-for-profit at CPT. They are a vocalist in the local band Marigold Cove and have also performed at Imposters Theatre and Tailspinner Children’s Theatre. Perry Reed/Samuel

Perry Reed has been acting for four years and received theatre training through the Karamu House and film training with Angela Boehm. Credits include The Bomb with Ensemble Theatre, Stonewallin’ at Convergence Continuum, Temptation of Adam at Cleveland Public Theatre, Rivers in Ink at Karamu House, The Marilyn Bianchi Kids’ Playwriting Festival at Dobama Theatre since 2023, Election Day at the Borderlight Theatre Festival and Comma at Blank Canvas Theatre. He co-wrote and starred in Mirrior Mime and The Loop with Arev Studios.

Cassandra Miller/Chantel

Cassandra is honored to be a part of this lovely cast. She is a performing artist, educator, and birth worker in Cleveland Ohio. She is passionate about utilizing arts and education in a holistic way to cultivate a better community. On stage, she has performed with Cain Park, Karamu, Seat of the Pants, Mamai Theatre, Borderlight, and in many Playhouse Square Partnerships. She is a choreographer and has created pieces with Near West Theatre for both their youth and mainstage productions. She is a company member of Blakk Jakk Dance Collective and a Teaching Artist at Cleveland Public Theatre. All glory to God!

Cristal Christian/Ovetta

Cristal Christian was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. She has also been a part of several local productions in Cleveland including the “Mountain Top”, “Diary of an Old Men”, “ One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show”, “The Wiz”, and “ Purses”, “Colored Girls” and TIPS the movie. What drives Cristal is creating and producing her own comedic content. Cristal was also apart of the original cast of “Our Lady of Common Sorrows”. Cristal recently started a career in Stand Up Comedy. She is super excited to continue her amazing theatre journey!

Maria Maggard/Natalie Portman

Maria Maggard (Natalie) is a Cleveland-based theatre artist and arts administrator, thrilled to be on-stage at Cain Park for the first time! She holds a B.A. in Theatre from Baldwin Wallace University and is a proud member of The Society of American Fight Directors. Huge thanks to this wonderful cast, crew, and leadership of Jeannine and Rebecca. She also thanks her family, friends, and partner for every ounce of support and laughter.

Jeannine Gaskin/Director

Jeannine Gaskin is excited to be directing at the Alma for a 2nd season. She is a director, producer, actor, cultural organizer, and co-founder of The Assembly Room. She recently produced Salsa Across Borders at the Rock Hall; a large-scale cultural event celebrating Latin music, dance, and community legacy. She is a performer with Women in History Ohio & a proud ensemble member with Seat of the Pants. Dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices and connecting people through performance, Jeannine creates work that challenges, celebrates, and uplifts.

Rebecca Moseley/Stage Manager

Rebecca has worked in and around theatre for the past 20 years, as as stage manager, director, actor, dancer, and whatever other hat needed worn at the time. She is happy to return to Cain Park and the Alma for another wonderful production. When not at Cain Park, she serves as the General Manager and Production Stage Manager for Ensemble Theatre. She would like to thank Ian and Jeannine for bringing her back for this season. All the love to her family and to her husband Kyle, for always believing in the magic.

Lin Godsey/Wardrobe Supervisor & Costume Shop Manager

Lin Godsey(they/he) is a costume technician operating out of Cleveland for four years. They are a recent graduate of Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor’s in Acting and Directing. Credits for Cain Park include Big Fish, Beetlejuice Jr., Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Caroline, Or Change. He would like to thank his family, friends, his beloved girlfriend, his cat Seaweed, and Tesia Benson(even though she said not to put thank-yous in a bio), for all they have done to get him where he is today. Mia Jones/Costume Designer

Mia is delighted to be here as costume designer for the production of All The Natalie Portman. With credits in Theater and Film, Mia’s diverse talents encompass performance, stage management, costume design, prop design, and directing, practiced in prestigious venues like Karamu House, Dobama Theater, Cain Park, The Cleveland Playhouse (CPH), Cleveland Public Theater (CPT), Neat West Theater, and Seat of the Pants Theatre. Notably, Mia has been honored by the City of Cleveland with an Arts and Entertainment award, crediting her artwork and performance talents.

William Drury/Lighting Designer

I’m a lighting designer with a background in both technical work and design, experienced in creating dynamic looks that bring stories and performances to life. I focus on blending precision with creativity, whether in theater, touring, or special events, to craft lighting that enhances mood, movement, and storytelling. I’m very excited to do All the Natalie Portmans, the shifts between reality and fantasy allows me to flex my creative muscles and paint the story in a fun way!
