WEEKNIGHT FREE JAZZ

A mix of jazz, big band, and contemporary music, George Shernit's Wind Machine features some of the finest musicians in the area playing music from Artie Shaw to contemporary big band jazz on six saxophones, piano, bass, and drums with vocals by the incomparable Evelyn Wright, who was awarded the Jazz Legend Award in 2008 by Tri-C. About half of the music is from the library of the late Hank Geer, who was the dean of Cleveland jazz musicians. Musicians in The Wind Machine include George Shernit, Howie Smith, Dave Morgan, Jim Rupp, Rock Wehrmann, Kent Engelhart, Tom Reed, Brad Wagner, and Chris Burge. A little big band playing jazz standards on a summer weeknight!
