Black Squirrel Winds

TUESDAY CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES

The Black Squirrel Winds is a cutting-edge quintet of faculty members from Kent State University, delighting audiences with the best in wind repertoire. They formed almost ten years ago as a resident faculty ensemble of Kent State University's Hugh A. Glauser School of Music. The group is dedicated to performing exceptional wind music, promoting wind chamber music and educating young people. Named in honor of the unofficial mascot of Kent State, the group includes Diane Rechner (flute), Danna Sundet (oboe), Amitai Vardi (clarinet), Mark DeMio (bassoon) and Kent Larmee (horn).  

Funding is provided by the Local 4 Music Fund, Leonard DiCosimo, president, and the Music Performance Trust Fund.
