The award-winning stars of Cain Park's critically acclaimed 2018 production of MEMPHIS, Douglas F. Bailey II and Nicole Sumlin, reunite for four performances of THE LAST FIVE YEARS this summer in the Alma Theater directed by Jordan Cooper.
THE LAST FIVE YEARS is Jason Robert Brown’s classic piece about love, loss and the moments we wish we could do over. The story explores a five-year relationship between Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress. The show uses a form of storytelling in which Cathy's story is told in reverse chronological order (beginning the show at the end of the marriage), and Jamie's is told in chronological order (starting just after the couple have first met).
Founded by Artistic Director Jordan Cooper in March 2019, The Passion Project is a new theater group which seeks to expose a deeper level of theater by exploring works that exhibit a passion for the human experience.
